Entrance Requirements

Medical Administrative Assistant Program:

To enroll in the hybrid (online and in-person) Clinical Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Patient Care Technician programs, students must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Proof of high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent
  • Pass the entrance exam with an 80% score
  • Current physical examination and immunizations (MMR (measles, mumps, rubella,), Tetanus/Diptheria booster, Hepatitis B Vaccine series/Antibodies, Varicella (chickenpox) immunity)
  • A negative result for PPD (Mantoux test and negative chest x-ray) that is valid until the course completion
  • Negative drug screen
  • Criminal background check (CORI)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and to reach overhead
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Proof of personal health insurance
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination or provide a valid exemption/declination document
  • Proof of a current flu shot or provide a valid exemption/declination document
  • Have an American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certificate before the start of clinical rotation/externship. This training is offered on campus by an approved American Heart Association instructor.
  • Provide a valid government-issued picture ID (Passport, ID Card, Driver’s License, etc.)
  • To attend any of our online classes, students enrolling in any hybrid program MUST have a personal computer and internet access and download Zoom.

ADMISSION PROCESS

  1. Must pay a $43.50 non-refundable administrative cost and 50% of the tuition ($750.00) at the time of enrollment
  2. Complete the pre-entrance quiz and score 80%
  3. Complete the school application package
  4. Sign an enrollment agreement, school policies, and procedures, provide all supporting documentation, and buy your textbooks and supplies
